Posies Super Slide Springs 440 47-54 Fits Chevy/GMC Pickup Rear Springs

Super Slide springs incorporate moly-nylon buttons that reside in die-formed pockets at the tips of the spring leave. Replace your 50 year old stock springs with these new, computer-designed leaf springs for a much smoother ride. Factory spec spring eye bushings come with springs.

For use with the original 1947-54 Chevy rear axle as these are not applicable to be used with a newer model rear axle assembly. Note: For use with stock axle. This will (not) fit the 1955 First Series Truck application (or any application with a round radius u-bolt).

1-3/4" Wide, 54"-1/8 eye to eye length. Center bolt to front eye center is 25-1/8. Center bolt to rear eye center is 29. Front eye type is standard. Rear eye type is reversed.

I had no issues installing Posies Super Slide Springs. The bare rear aligned easily before welding on the axle brackets and all the associated Posies and Speedway spring parts fit perfectly. By Mr "D" on September 28, 2019. 30 years ago when I converted from a closed drive line to an open I set up my rear-end housing mounting to allow for the offset thus not needing to change the springs. Well after several years of running the modified 235 cu in six cylinder with a Muncie 4-speed I converted to a SBC 327 and a turbo 400.

In this process I installed new Posie super slide in the front along with power disc brakes and power steering thus keeping the original axle. When measuring for the drive shaft I took a good look at the rear springs which were very tired so the posie super slides were ordered for the rear.
